we decided to re-visit the SW path and see how the latest plowing regime is working.
After the most recent snow, the city decided to plow the path a little wider than last time.
The path looks to be in gernally good condition for use by bicyclists.
The bike path entrance from Parman Terrace showed no signs of being violated by motorists this evening.
There has been a history of motorists using the path as recently reported in the Wisconsin State Journal:
"What may seem a mere indiscretion to motorists could be catastrophic to a
bicyclist in the Nakoma neighborhood.
Residents of Parman Terrace and
Council Crest - two streets ending in cul-de-sacs flanking the Southwest
Bike Path, just east of the Odana Golf Course - say they have been watching
minivans and pizza delivery vehicles illegally crossing the popular bicycle
trail on access paths at the end of each street."
