Getting ready to go.
Off we go!
Heading down West Washington.
More West Washington.
Still more!
After turning onto Regent. A nice look at most of the bicyclists.
Checking out the Automobile traffic behind us.
Former Alder Todd Jarrol rode with us!
The "Orange Guy" rode a mini bicycle.
Riding through downtown construction, much of which is very difficult to navigate on a bicycle.
Finally back on West Johnson. Note Jeff from Revolution Cycles on the silver bike in the foreground.
Futher along West Johnson.
Turing up Highland(?)
Bicyclists watch in awe as Jeff balances his bike while stopped and without hand on the handlebars!
The Johnson Street Detour. Reports indicate that the Bike/Bus/Right Turn lane (rightmost) has not been respected as such during heavy traffic.
The same intersection, looking backward.
You can actually see motor vehicles in the bike lane behind us.
An example of the type of social space created by Critical Mass. Not possible with automobile traffic!
Ah hah! Heading under Monona Terrace, a favorite destination!
Looks like the Terrace was expecting us. (I confess, I touched this one up a bit!)
Another fun excursion under the Terrace.
Just out...
Now it is time to see what is going on along Williamson Street.
Left along Baldwin, and across East Washington.
And left again on East Johnson/Gorham (after being split up by a light and not being massed up properly)
Jeff showing off again. This time he is sketching while riding.
One brief discussion between a bicyclist and the occupants of an SUV. The Driver asked what this was all about.
Further along East Gorham.
Still Further along, almost to State St.
We Looped around a bit, headed up state street, and did a bike stand at Gorham St.
The Shadow...
The Group finally "Lost the will to mass" and headed their seperate ways.
