A group of neighborhood residents and family were there to greet us.
Bicyclists attempted a "hold up", where they stop traffic holding their bikes in the air. This was quickly ended by the MPD officers sent to monitor the ride.
The intersection has many problems, including a potentially confusing "oncoming traffic has longer green" setup.
One of Rosa's teachers participated in the ride, and talked to the parents.
Tim Wong, long time Madison bike advocate, points out some aspects of the intersection.
This Gentleman, who I believe is Rosa's Uncle, thanked the bicyclists for their support.
Michael Forster Rothbart, the cyclist who suggested the ride, surveys the intersection with Arthur Ross, Madison's Ped-Bike coordinator.

Bicyclists attempted to cross the street. The first half of the group could only make it half way before the "don't walk" light started flashing.
The group thinned out as various bicyclists peeled off as they neared their neighborhoods.
